For Kellie Caulder, Sales and Operations Coordinator of Pureflo, a member of the Water Dispenser & Hydration Association (the WHA), water isn’t just her day job. In her spare time, the keen swimmer is making a splash by raising money for WaterAid.
Kellie Caulder says: “I am currently doing the swim Marathon for WaterAid. I will be swimming 26 miles over a 12-week period to raise money for the charity. I tend to do swims for charities that are relevant to me in some way and, working as I do in the water industry, I thought I should do this one.”
The funds raised are in aid of the 1 in 10 people who don’t have clean water close to home.
The charity undertakes work that is similar to the projects funded by the WHA through its chosen charity, Just a Drop.
“Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty, and change their lives for good. With access to good water and sanitation, children are born healthier and have the chance to go to school and grow up to become healthy adults, whilst adults are enabled to earn a living. Whole communities start to thrive with this kind of help,” explains Kellie.
